This discussion here is the biggest compliment, we could give to AA. Hunderts of head-fi-experts don't find more to criticise than a mash and how it will look in 10 years.

You are right!

It wasn't meant to be a criticism, just a question and how to solve it after a long time.
Pads also need to be cleaned or changed from time to time.
Summers are getting hotter and hotter, so even sweat can cause changes. It's better to regulate them straight away, or input for an MKII version.
That's how I see it.

There is hardly anything to criticise in terms of sound, perhaps a small reduction in mids suggested by NOMAX. I'm still waiting for the Alcantara pads.

Here is my solution for this problem:
Buy a lot of headphones ( best 30 up) so they don't get a lot of playtime. And for summer I recommand AKG K1000 and Mysphere.

I've just received my new headphones, The Composer, and they sound unbelievably good!
The sound is magnificent, the detail is perfect. It's just mind-blowing. Thank you to everyone for their comments which ultimately led me to choose this one!
Just for fun I checked Meze 109 Pro as well in the studio... ...it's really an absolutely very good device, but this Austrian Audio, it's top-notch. I know they're not exactly in the same league, but it was interesting to compare the two.
Finally, I also got a chance to try out the big brother, the Empyrean. Well, that was indeed in the same league. It also sounded wonderful. The AA was more to my liking, but that too seems like a masterpiece.

I don't see what's funny with that.
He tried all three headphones at his dealer and decided on the Composer although all three are excellent headphones.

Trying with your own ears and then deciding what suits you best, ist the best thing one can do in this hobby.
