Violetric or a tube OTL amp

updated: actually, ATROX V2 is a great value and sounds great with the DT 1770 on the 2nd gain position. I don't know if they are still available, ask @Stevko for contact info

Cheers. I'm liking them so far.

I've not had the a90 but running the k7 balanced low gain 1 o'clock is loud.

I had the l30ii e30ii stack with the aeon 2 and that was around the same volume mark

When I had my Ethers I was running them primarily off a Burson Soloist and Gustard X16 stacked. They do like a solid amp, but they aren't as hard to drive as some people said when I was researching them. They were one of the pairs that I sold before I got my DCA Stealths, but if I hadn't decided to get the Stealths I would have kept the Ethers. They're an impressive pair of headphones for sure!

Yeah they do play better on the high gain.

I'm liking the fiio amp, the topping was nice was just a little worried about longevity

The Fiio K series combos are actually quite impressive. They all offer some damn good performance for the cash. I can imagine that it makes a great pairing with the Ethers.

Edit: BTW, that cable you have on your Ethers is pretty snazzy as well.

❤ Ether C(X) Still my favourite closed-back headphones. Got the C flow 1.1 and CX as back-up
I really liked the original Ether C (one of the few planars to receive this honor), but unfortunately that decreased with each new version…

My c flow 1.1 is more like a 1.05, I'm not using the bassport stickers.
Have owned about 20 closed backs and these tick the most boxes for me. Near perfect.

If I may ask, which cans you'd consider as good or close to your C Flow, of course considering only those you're familiar with?
