Very nice, I can't wait to try the T1. I remember the PS-1 from the Chapel Hill meet, they are extremely great, hope to hear them again. and thanks for constantly being a part of the meets, I always look forward to seeing or rather hearing what you show up with.

It's looking pretty good that I'll be there, but you should put me in with the members, I'm not at HeadRoom anymore.

I will be at CanJam next week. If anyone would like to contact me regarding
Carolina CanFest 2010 please feel free to email me via Head-Fi. If you like we can meet up at CanJam or communicate online. I will also be meeting with several manufacturers and retailers at CanJam regarding their attending CanFest, in addition to those we already have.

Are there any specific manufacturers and/or retailers/dealers you would like to see in Charlotte in August? Please let me know and I'll see what I can do regarding their attendance.

Thanks,
Danny

I will also be at CanJam next week and fully intend to be at CanFest 2010. If I can help in any way just let me know. My big question right now is do we have any leads on a guest speaker for CanFest 2010?

Well, I do not have a guest speaker in mind....yet. In fact, I was considering inviting two professional musicians one of whom was recently crowned as the Ragtime piano player WORLD CHAMPION! To say he is fantastic and his music FUN is an understatement. The other artist is a world class guitarist and singer and is currently touring for McPherson Guitar Company known to make some of the finest and most expensive guitars around. Sound at its finest. They are not yet confirmed but we were thinking of having a demonstration of live music from both, of world class quality, for about 15 minutes each in the main ballroom to make things a bit interesting and fun. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

As far as a special guest speaker we may still have one. Do you have any suggestions for who you would like to see?

Thanks,
D.

BTW I'm driving to Chicago from the Asheville area so if any of you locals want to save $$$ on gas or a plane ticket PM me. I currently figure gas at around $120 round trip so we can divide that by the number of passengers. I can seat 4 if you don't take much. I am going up early Friday and driving back sometime Monday. If you show up in need of a shower you will be walking :)

I just noticed that Drew is bringing Beyerdynamic Tesla T1. Those have replaced HD800 as the headphones I would most like to hear. (I've heard neither) I'm sure both will be available in Chicago but having them in our NC meet should be a real treat.

I am now in the process of communicating with several additional vendors that I had the opportunity to meet at CanJam, which by the way was terrific. Kudos to the organizers.

I will be updating the lead thread periodically with new information regarding who will be planning to attend, vendors and enthusiasts. Let me know if you would like anyone in particular as far as an industry member and also if you have a preference for a keynote speaker.

There is no charge for vendors or attendees to participate. Table space is free. We want to make this event as user friendly and as fun as possible. There will be a raffle for many items kindly donated by vendors which is the only way we are offsetting our expenses.
