I think they will work well for that music.  It depends on your preferences though.  Some people love their punchy mid-bass --  the DT1350 has a nice balance of mid and sub bass, so you might need to adjust to the signature.

1350s work well with most anykind of music....

for the person who is having comfort issues, try spreading the head bands apart and moving around on your head, this seems to help for me....I usually keep them closed but recently I opened them fully wide open and it helped. Also try moving the teansducers farther down on the adjustment...and move the overall head placement...you will find more comfortable positions with a good seal...

All the best
Alex

It will mainly depend on what sort of bass response you prefer. The dt1350 is not bass heavy and offers quality over quantity. Its the quality of the bass that actually makes me prefer these for hip hop, pop and electronic music, the definition and depth is fantastic. The bass responds well to EQing so you can easily bump it up if needed. I listen to a lot of old school soul (Sam Cooke, Al Green etc..) and the dt1350 sound great for well recorded material. They are quite detailed so poorly recorded songs can sound very bad.

That would be the EDT 51p, part # 912603
While they are new and sold as a spare part for the T51p I can't guarantee that its the exact same as stock... The name indicates that it is but the URL does not. But maybe there was an error updating the article...

During a recent trip to Frankfurt for Musikmesse, I was able to listen to Beyer's entire headphone lineup. These were the ones that I instantly fell in love with.

I am now happy to say that I am a proud owner of the dt1350s! My favorite on-ear headphone to date!

Thanks! Although I bought them second hand and I'm trying to figure out how to tighten the sliders as they're a bit loose... Found sone replacement kits online, so hopefully they'll be better than ever! :)
