Warren Zevon Stand In The Fire Nothing special in terms of sound quality but if you like classic 70's rock, this stands up to any of the other great albums from that era. Zevon was a force onstage.

One title that seems to get repeatedly passed over in discussions about great live recordings is Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen, recorded in 1970 at the Fillmore East. It's an amazing performance and a great recording. It was recently reissued in a 2-Disc Deluxe Edition package and was also released some years ago by Mobile Fidelity on a UltraDiscII Gold CD.

For superb sound quality, try 'Minimum Maximum' by Kraftwerk. Absolutely astonishing!

Lesser sound quality but still great and a fantastic live album: 'It's Too Late To Stop Now' by Van Morrison. Any old copy sounds great but the recent remastered version (particularly the Japanese SHM version) is amazing.

Another great live album. Muddy but better that way: 'Space Ritual' by Hawkwind. Cos' it just is!
