I think Anak also compared the TH600 vs Sig DJs briefly on that phone's thread... He compared Sig Djs vs TH900s in his review.

Search is your friend! :p

I bought the Sig DJs with no audition, simply based on reviews. I was using the Denon D1100 before and was completely used to their sound, and was happy with them, until I got the Sigs.

At first I missed the amount of bass that the Denons gave out on some tracks, but then I realized that quality > quantity in this case. What you gain in clarity and soundstage far surpasses the amount of bass you lose in comparison. Also, I get more joy from many tunes that used to sound regular with the Denons. Listening is more of a pleasant and exciting experience with the Sigs.

Of course, I don't mean to say that the Sigs are bass shy, because we all know they are not. You could say that I was used to bass bleed with the Denons, or how the bass fills all the holes in your music. Until I actually heard a headphone that gives every frequency its proper space, I didn't know what I was listening to with the Denons.

I just want to add that comparing these two headphones is very unfair. The Denons, at their price point, are a good buy imo. I still keep them around.

The HiSoundAudio E212's have just arrived and... they are definitely basshead. They aren't burned in yet, but the bass is really deep and agile. Trebbles are a bit screaming, the mids are just OK and the soundstage is pretty wide. Can't say more before a few-days burn in.

Added to list

The IE800, K3003 and Shure SE846 are basshead worthy too!

I own the 846. When I demoed it was really bassy even on balanced filters. Now that it is not as Bassy but still burning them in. I haven't even put on the warm/Bassy filter yet!

Will update you guys soon.

I've got to try the 846 then. Seems like a really good IEM if that's what you ended up getting.

I've been so busy of late, I haven't visited this forum or a place like Stereo in ages. :/

Stereo doesn't have a demo FYI. Try ConnectIT or Jaben.

How do the basshead thread members regard the Custom One Pros? Keeping in mind their price range. Paid $160 and just waiting on them.

The reviews seemed generally positive and the consensus seemed to be they were pretty good for their price, so I'm hoping for the best :)

They are alright as far as Head-Fi recommendations go IMO. Can't say I like the bass switch because the effects are not as dramatic as I expected.

Comfortable cans though.

Ah, so that's probably why Tyll hated it then. Says it was "gimmicky."
On the other hand, he really liked the K267 Tiesto's bass boost, where he said that it actually worked.

I guess one question was answered right there. I'm really looking forward to see a white COP or maybe the COT, though; the black COP had just a little too much black unless you buy some of their customizable extras.

There already are white COP, I saw them on Amazon.
