The didos use fostex drivers. But are they the d2000/5000 or the d7000 ones?

According to Perfect Sound, they use the same bio-cellulose driver technology used in Fostex THxxx series but they didn't say it was the exact driver so... (unless it's a translation error or something was mis-communicated.

I heard somewhere the TH600 uses D5000 drivers but don't quote me on it. From the shape of the housings they look quite similar.

No... they are different drivers. The TH600 is 1 Tesla 50mm and TH900 is 1.5 Tesla magnetic density stuff... the D5000 is neither...

The e07k may be cheaper, but it also only pushes half the power of the e17... That's only as much power as the e6... I'd rather have the power of my e11 than sacrifice power for eq. In that case, maybe I should get the e12?... Then again, at this point, all I need is just an e11 amount of power... And the e17 puts out 30 mW more power at 32 ohms than the e11... But then again, the e12 puts out 700+ mW of power at 32 ohms.. Ah, but the the e17 is a dac!!... I'm getting e17.

Oh, I was talking to a guy on another forum, and he owns a pair of dt990's 250 ohms... And he doesn't even listen to music with them! He uses them on his keyboard so it sounds like a concert grand... Kind of a stupid use of them... I told him to buy a home amp, but he says he doesn't even listen to music. -_-

is that the silver one?

Nope, black. It was the very first E12 iteration and not the "official" release iteration. The blue line represents the bass boost of the 1st iteration, and the red line is the official iteration:

A bit off topic here, but to all DJ's/Musicians or just people who care about their hearing, I just got some Etymotic ER-20 earplugs and they are are awesome. Lately ive been going to a lot of car shows/events and people rev their engines really LOUD. Im talking so loud it can permanently damage your hearing.

This is an event i went to about a month ago. It was an attempt to break the world's record (unofficial) for the most amounts of burnout at once (and they successfully did). This was after the attempt. I was filming with one hand and using the other hand to cover my ears

probably would be cool for some people who don't want to damage their hearing by becoming a bass head... That looks expensive too...

What's average attenuation mean?

What's average attenuation mean?

It's the level of volume reduction you will get by using the product.

I use customs (Westone ES3X) as earplugs, and leave them plugged into my phone (which is in my pocket when working). 26db of attenuation, and if someone is texting or calling me, I can hear it straight away. Sounds weird, but if you're in a room/event/concert/festival with huge subs pumping all day, not only can you not hear your phone, but you won't feel it vibrate either.

Those ETY plugs are really popular in the industry, good choice man.
