Do note that a cable does not and will never make differences as big as the change as a source of an amp (unless your source has a defect, or are of low quality bitrates to begin with i.e. poorly ripped or encoded).

How do you know that?

Obviously I have 4 (four) defective components: Cary 306 SACD, Weiss DAC202U, Violectric HPA V200 and Stax SRM-272II

Or maybe they are badly designed, who knows...
I can't convince by words anybody who doesn't want to listen to believe something that is easy audible. Please, be free to spent as much money as you want ot better and better components :)

P.S. I forgot the KGSS but it's DIY and is supposed to be badly designed, right?

I'm really enjoying my LCD2's, since I received my WA22 back they are getting almost all my head time. I have one of the rev.1's from the final batch when they came with the rev.2 pads, and I think I have the best version. Reportedly they sound the most like the LCD3 anyways.

But of course I have never heard any other LCD

Well back to the thread...does anyone else feel like hot treble (regardless of how much "perceived" detail it creates) is unnatural? I love the LCD-2 treble. Not hot at all, but well-extended and naturally smooth :)

I thought this was an LCD-2 thread? The last 5 pages should be tossed into the memory hole.
On Topic: I'm looking at the new LCD-2 with Rosewood as a compliment to HD800s. I tried an LCD-2 last year that wanted to crush my head. Some people mentioned the pads have changed. Is the new version more comfortable?

Hot anything is unnatural.  Too much treble, mids, bass can all push an instrument too far up in the mix.  Bass bump is generally less offensive though.
