Whoa. Something happened last night which has persisted today: I fell in love with the 120 unamped.

I'm using SE535s, which I normally can't stand. I'm an ER4S man. It's the SQ I've looked for with adequate storage for my collection. It fits in my shirt pocket and no dumb questions on the train like with a triple deck config (is that a charger?).

The CLAS -db will be up on the bay, I predict.

:)

I got the ak120 today, however all my music files seems to be 10 seconds shorter than it should be and as a result they finish abruptly.

hey all, i'm looking to get a ciem to pair with an unamped stock AK120. I've had my eye on the jh13pro fp for a while now. Does anybody know if there is good synergy between it and the AK120?
Thanks!

I use the UERM's with the AK120 and to my ears the sound is awesome. But I haven't tried an amp to see if that would be even better. I do have a Analog Squared Paper TU-05 on order but that's primarily for the HD800's.
My experience with CIEM's is that they're a pain to get right. Here's a post that I hope will help from the UERM thread...

Hello to everyone,

I need help :

I have purchased an AK120 with B&H (USA) and it has been delivered to me out of USA.
at the moment i receive the device, i found that the power (ON/OFF) button was moving and making noise, i could heard noise when i shake the unit with my hands.
@ months after, i realized that it was not normal. then contacted B&H about the problem. B&H confirm me that my unit has a problem. i had 30 days to send back, but now it is too late, after 1 month, they would not accept to change my unit. they recommend me to contact Iriver. what i did :
Please see bellow the reply of Jonathan from Iriver USA.

Dear iriver customer,

Thank you for providing us with all of the requested information including the picture of your unit. Please keep in mind that it is normal to have the ON/OFF button to have some play when you shake the unit. It is normal to hear that sound of the button moving. All of the units are designed that way and so rest assured, there is nothing wrong with your specific unit. If you have any questions or concerns please email us back at any time.

Thanks & Regards,

I replied him that i could not accept such problem for the hight price i paid to get the unit. I should receive a strong and good unit.
then he recognize that there is a problem on my unit, and that i had to return it and get it repaired.
I told him that i did not want my new device to be opened and repaired after only 2 months of use.
And that, as he told me that all unit has the same issue, and that it is normal, i did not want anymore the AK120.
I was ready to add money and get one the unit which has not the button problem : AK120 TITAN.
If not at least , they should give me a NEW AK120.
I refuse the issue of 30 days because : How could i imagine that it is not normal and return it within the 30 days ? while Jonathan the specialist of Iriver who knows more their materials replied me that that issue is normal.

Now i'm coming here to request for help : Iriver don't want to help me, and B&H (the supplier) has also refuse to change my unit.
Where can i complain against Iriver and B&H ?
Could someone help me ?
I'm not in USA, and far from there.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks very much for the reply and the advice re: impressions - I will keep it in the back of my mind when visiting the audiologist.

i think that it is not normal for a new unit paid at 1300 USD to be like that : we shall all complain to Iriver.
i'll wait for the feed back of the other users

I don't think mine has problem with it. I tried to shake my device but didn't hear any noise.

Just shook mine, solid as a rock, no rattles and the button works perfectly with no play in it whatsoever.
