i had same dilemma recently: dac/amp to pair with akg k612. same budget as you. i was doubting between jds o2+odac, xduoo xd-05, and ibasso d14 bushmaster.
i know o2 output power was enough for these kind of akgs (line power, so not portable, and a bit more expensive than the other two), and they pair well.
but was not sure about d14 and xd-05. after doing some calculations and research, found that both can drive the akgs. they both are portable (although they are not very small), and have good connectivity.
chose the d14 at last, because i like ES9018K2M dac and ibasso tuning (i'm never afraid of "too much analytical": give me resolution, and i'll choose to loose it then, if i like, lol), because you can stop draining the battery while plugged to an usb source, and because found a good offer (i like xd-05 6mm output though).
happy with my decision. i don't know MF V90-HPA though.

Having the E17K you can always get the FiiO K5 which is a more powerful desktop amplifier with a socket for your E17K.

Other amplifiers like the Schiit Magni 2, Schiit Magni 2 Uber and Objective 2 should do the trick for you as well, in this case you'll need a 3.5mm to dual RCA cable to connect E17K's line out to the external amplifier.

The Matrix M-Stage HPA-2 is a nice DAC/Amp but it's 280 or so...

got ibasso d14 for 180€, and saw xduoo xd-05 for 184€ somewhere. but these are the portable (anyway, i use d14 at home). o2+odac is more expensive. listen to advices from people who knows more about home bigger dac/amp. sure there is a good one for your budget.

712 has a wider soundstage then the hd600. 712 sounds like the instruments are slightlty seperated more then the 600. 712 seems more analytical sounding. Do to those reasons is why I feel like the hd600 is more "musical" than the 712. I have never heard the X so I can't comment on it

i went w/ the k712 and really enjoy it, no regrets, it is a really nice complement to hd600

With my old k612, I put superglue onto the slider so that it stopped moving. Before doing it tbough, I worked out how far down I wanted the cups so they only fit me now. Other than that, the assembly needs to be taken apart.

That suspension mechanism is one thing I really don't like about AKGs.

So this is the email I got in return asking for a repair,
Code:
I've talked to the manufacturer about your repair and they have gave me a quote of £219.71 for a repair. This is due to the hourly rate of the technicians time and for shipping of the item.

That's more than the current price of a brand new set...
