Some more answers on google. So it has a wider soundstage than AK240 but less than Ak380 (I would be happy for them to measure soundstage!). It is for people who want the AK380 but can't afford it, even if he said the signature is closer to AK240. Clearer and clearer.
 
I don't think they will use my reduced margin suggestion.

I honestly have no idea why they release the AK320. I mean sure, they want to milk the cow really bad, but from a Specs
standpoint, this player doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

The specs make sense if you think AK will phase out the 240 eventually, and or update the 240 with a 240ii. It is the oldest model now in the line up.
 
I think what Mr. Ahn said is exactly right which is that the AK320 is for people who wanted a AK380 but thought it was too expensive.
 
They cut the cost nearly in half and has the potential to offer similar sound. That's not a bad thing IMO. Plus being able to use the new AK Amp, which seems to be dynamite according to people.

With the AK320 coming out, I hope they will do a refresh of the AK380.  Other than the DSD to PCM that may bug some people, I do think that the AK320 is a good upgrade inline with how they have done it with the 120 to 240 to 100II/120II.

I can buy a 120 titan for 700 dollars used and a 240 for 1300-1400 dollars...both offer far more storage than the 320 and IMHO the 320 makes zero sense to me.....i suppose to somebody this makes sense but i couldnt be more underwhelmed
