wait what? $2000? I thought the Lcd-2 I have where worth the $$ but, all this $2000 and $8000s for a pair of headphones is getting extreme. These better be the worlds new #1 headphone for that kind of price. as for the $8000 art work cans? dont get me started.

Perhaps everything does not seem as absurd and ridiculous as it seems - think of many of the current flagships
including the TH900 on a synergistic rig - now don't get me wrong - headphones can never emulate Hi-Fi speakers,
but I urge you to think of detail retrieval, intimacy and involvement.

Now let's send you around the world to the best Hi-Fi shows in Vegas, Paris and Germany where you will be exposed to
 $70,000+ USD rigs.

Get back to us on your findings then - all of a sudden $2,000 - $8,000 for a headphone does not seem all that silly.

I have listened to the HD800, HD700, HD650 and HD600 recently, I own the Ultrasone Edition 8 and recently bought the TH900 for $1495 in Australia - they are the best cans I have ever heard, IMHO make the Ed 8's sound like mid fi and I really like the Ed 8,

The TH900 IMO have fewer faults than the HD800 which I really liked - although on solid state amps and with some music had a real nasty treble sibilance which IMO holds the HD800 back from true greatness.

The TH900 does not wow you instantly - however over time I realized this headphone has a musical enjoyment factor of 10.

Mine is supposed to come tomorrow but I won't be home and the seller made it where I have to sign to get it! Better safe than sorry... I probably have to wait till Monday!

The seller said the delay was because Fostex was fixing the headband issue with the headphones.. which I hope they fixed it!

Can't wait to try em (I just received the Lord of the Rings Blu Ray Trilogy too!)
