What can I say, you're right, I plugged it into my desktop pc instead of my laptop and its working great.
So what could be the reason its not working on my phone? I have UAPP but when I play a song it just plays it on the speakers.

Sorry i ain't a computer expert, but what i can possibly think of is a usb issue on your laptop? Maybe try disabling uapp and see how it goes? Are you using MQA, i think that might not be compatible with sonata HD Pro.

Anyways glad to hear it is working.

What is "it"? Are u referring to the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro?

The Sonata HD Pro latest firmware is 3.0.

The driver firmwares are different for the non Pro version versus Pro version.

Thanks @jeejack for this great piece of advise. I'm not sure why @aviGreat 's laptop needed to download the USB driver thing, as my friends and myself have used the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro on multiple desktops/laptops and it was recognized on the spot by windows, without needing any driver updates.

But well, as long as it works out in the end. Enjoy the music @aviGreat !

Your Linux should not require drivers., none of mine did.

Tiny thing, looks like a joystick, sounds good, but the volume buttons are less functional than they are cosmetic

I think it sounds *very* good. The difference over the older Sonata is very noticeable, and I'm a very skeptical person.
