What is your mod idea with the Colorfly CK4?

similar modification, but I do not have in stock ck4 to check the quality of its food. With ck4 deployed later, but overall the sound is as good / better teklast (due to the presence of ASRC chip)

ok. I think the customer will be able to choose what to leave as a headphone amplifier. The default will be Ths4222.

That is a very good option, chose your priority, battery or SQ.

exactly.
I will use the battery (one of my friends have already bought it and measure its size - apply): http://techno-room.ru/LP473850.html

Plan is to try a composite amplifier based on LM4562 + LT1207, but it requires more power and most likely it will not give raise to the level of quality Hi-Fi portable player. Unless the headphones are very "heavy". The same PCB is larger in size than ths4222.

http://ru.farnell.com/texas-instruments/tps60403dbvt/charge-pump-inverter-smd-60403/dp/8457786 - invetor appropriate. Only here a replacement inverter was not enough. A comprehensive fashion. The first 4 of the owner will receive their modified players in about 10 days. After that I'll be taking orders for the mod.

I completely finished the mod for Teclast T51/Sflo2 (TekMOD), details on the Russian site. If there is an interest in modifying, I will translation all the details
We briefly describe: the sound as good TOP portable players, the price in the $ 170, in the process of modifying possible repair / restoration of faulty players.
Also preparing modifications to Colorfly C4 + and C3.
Several photos final mode:

Hello Burnway, It's a new battery included in this mod ?

Yes, I set it in the player in the process of modification and is included in the price

What is the output impedance after the mod ?

about 0, as the output amplifier ear NO resistors, thus I found protection from parasitic capacitance headphone cable

Burnway, if the sound of Teclast after your mod at least 70% as good as Tec t51 -> line out -> Meier audio corda Quipstep, then you did great job man.

I am sure that my modifications will sound better because the sound quality is much improved line-out, and the new ear amplifier does not spoil the sound of the line-out (There's more on the "heavy" headphones sound better)

Here is a brief description of the modifications on the Russian site I describe each item in great detail. If someone wants to talk in detail about it - write on burnwaygta4@gmail.com or Skype: burnwaygta4. I would like to stress that my fashion higher level than Storbmod and provides clearly better sound quality. Reviews and comparisons with the player AlexMod is the link that I gave earlier on a player.ru.
In short, are the comparisons: the difference in sound is minimal and hard to catch, though AlexMod was the maximum version and his price 800$.

Replacement / differences from stock:

  •     replacement negative power inverters in headphones AMP and LPF
  •     voltage regulators headphonesAMP and LPF with replacement filter capacitor Cbypass (is good for filtering high frequency interference)
  •     an additional negative regulator shoulder headphonesAMP, along with the replacement of the capacitor in the inverter on Cfly X5R 4.7uF
  •     replacement signal resistors located between DAC outputs and LPF
  •     capacitors in the LPF replacement for ceramic NP0
  •     replacement 10uF 1uF ceramic filters in power modulators DACs to 0,1 uF NP0
  •     ceramic replacement shunts opamp LPF and headphonesAMP at 0,1 uF NP0
  •     the signal from the low pass filter to the ear specialist now passes through the wire MC16-13(silver-plated copper) 0.05, cut lead-in track, contacts potentiometer raised and do not touch the board. Still have access to the line-out, installed protective resistors 50Om
  •     removed the low quality resistors in the signal path to the headphonesAMP and line-out
  •     increased power amplifier to your ear +-4V
  •     filtering power before and after the dc-dc TD1410 (power supply for headphonesAMP)
  •     opamp LPF LM4562
  •    headphonesAMP made of LM4562+THS4222 - output up to 100mA per channel, 14mA quiescent current per channel(most portable headphones will work in Class A)
  •     power cap for headphonesAMP is 2x220uF Panasonic FK, LPF 2x47uF Panasonic SU(bipolar capacitors with very low distortion)
  •     measuring resonator 24MHz, the structure in tact CPU PLL, a generator with low jitter
  •     stock replacement batteries for the assembly of two LP473850 1090mAh, setting equalizer to equalize pressures between the banks
  •     sealed cables and sensor module aluminum tape to avoid interference on the part of the signal

i think he've ment that this is pure madness ))  he don't know what russian audiophiles can do to extract Warm Lamp Sound from their sources. i saw every single player was modded last 3 years (sometimes 2 or 3 modification to one DAP) in russian forums.
