After 2 hours I can say PAC480 has strong bass but not resolving as Nyx, mids also isn’t clear as Nyx and highs also but for 50$ is a good deal, I’ll test on my full BA.
I think could be a great choice for dongle or mid tier Dap that hasn’t strong bass
Nyx? Which cable is that?

Try out the PAC480 folks. It is such a good deal for a premium copper cable and so happens to match up extremely well for the LAND. It should be packed in with it. lol.
It is a bulky cable but not unwieldly or noodle like. It is actually fairly soft and pliable.

I bought both the mmcx and 2 pin versions out of the gate as soon as I saw it. You guys should know Penon does not sell or make cheap budget cables. They make premium hand built cables and their cheapest cables to date was their CS819 cable which also cost $50. Their cheapest premium line of cables is the OS849 @ $120 which also happens to be one of their most popular cables. The PAC480s have no business being as good as they are at the price they are selling them for, they easily hang with their premium line of cables but at an intro price that is too good to miss out on. The LAND becomes a different animal with this cable folks is all I am gonna say.
With the PAC480 in existence, does the CS819 hold any value?

Placed the order for TSMR Land, PAC480, and ePro Horn Tips today. I have four questions regarding Land though:

1. Why Land? I can understand Spark related to EST, but what does Land signify?
2. 1 balanced armature high frequency driver
2 electrostatic high frequency drive

A bit confusing here, since it is not clearly defined. Is the BA for Lower Treble and EST for Upper Treble?
3. Are the stock tips good? Do they affect sound in any way?
4. Has anyone used Spinfit CP155 with them? Do they sound better than the stock tips?

Thanks in advance...

I was told EST drivers do upper trebles better where BAs are more efficient to do the brunt of treble notes AKA lower trebles. This design is brilliant as it offsets the need for the EST drivers to cover the region. So the focus is more utilized for the strengths of the EST drivers which are placed to give the overall sound a final sheen, air, brilliance and presence to the overall sonics. You can look at it like laquor on furniture. The bulk of your music is there but need that final shine to finish it up, especially when you're dealing with flagship level earphone sound. That is the duties of the upper treble enhancement using EST drivers. Debatable if two is lesser than 4 drivers. But no denying the spacial and airy qualities on the Sparks using 4 of them.

A lot of the much higher end TOTL earphones utilize 4ESTs so there must be something to the quad array that makes it perform even better than two.

Re: Percussion freq. range

according to an EST design engineer: EST drivers start from the 15k range.
Ests will sound off to complete the air (treble extension we normally call them)
By hearing experience, est drivers give off a very extended, natural, realistically tuned treble extension...

EST drivers start from the 15k range.
I’m afraid if this were true, many people would never know what an EST driver sounds like, as it is beyond the hearing of quite a few people. 15KHz is pretty much the extent of my upper freq. hearing.

it needs to shed some light here. So what is the starting freq. then?
Maybe Sonion spokesperson should do that.
Anyone know someone from them?

I for one, would like those Ests starting below that (15k)...
