Is there any way to make the bass tighter.

Not aware of any.
But again - it's not sloppy at all, just isn't as well controlled as on Pro 82.

Am holding back on the pro 82 because of that U/V shape and looks(I hate U/V shape sound).

Pro 82 is neutral sounding, nowhere near V-shaped.
B8 is mid-forward.

I don't think so. I haven't yet tried changing pads of Pro 82 as I haven't felt the need for it. I did try to change pads of B8 and changed them with normal Brainwavz pads. Sound quality deteriorated significantly.
