Hi, pretty simple question: For those of you who have heard both, which of the two has more bass QUANTITY? I love the T1 but find there is just not enough bass for me and am wondering if the T5p is the way to go.

Thank you.

The T5P is a closed headphone, so I'm assuming that it does have more bass than the T1.

T5p has less bass quantity than T1.  If you are not happy with T1 bass, then you will rate T5p bass as "very weak".  I just wish T5p has bass quantity at least equivalent to T1.  I seldom use the T5p now because i am really sad at the bass quantity.

I am using Beyer's own DAC/Amp.

On the other hand, in ultra deep bass, T5p is better than T1.  However ultra deep bass is rarely used, occassionally in movie maybe.

Just got em, does indeed have less bass, and the sound overall is pretty blah to me, nothing like the T1 really. Oh well, I'll just return em.

That is one of the reasons why it is a really good idea to comment only on what you have actually experienced (heard) rather than what you read or assume.
ASSUME= makes an ass out of u and me
Having said that, it is obvious from your post you have no first hand experience with the T5p, so your assumption should have been taken with a grain of salt.

You're actually not the one who convinced me to give em a shot, it was another guy via PM who swore it had "10% more bass" than the T1 among other completely untrue things

But it's cool, I wanted to try them and I can return them no problem. Also, it's $1295

There is no way T5p bass quantity can match T1, even T5p with good setup and T1 with begger's setup.  I have tried it, I am so pissed off that i purposely connect T1 with portable amp for 3.5mm jack plus a few lousy connectors/converter with half broken player and at the end the bass quantity still beats T5p flat.

From that day i post till now i haven't listen to T5p even once, so disappointed i am.  Unlike your place, I can't return the item :(
Sound signature between T1 and T5p did sound similar to me.

A very disappointing can indeed. Why it has less bass with the same drivers but in a closed design, and especially designed to be driven by portables, I will never know. Their sig is sort of similar, like more similar than the T1 and something totally different, but they still differ greatly. The T5p has some kind of weird "r" or "n" sig I haven't heard in anything else. I didn't like it at all.

this really scares me. 3 weeks ago i order my first headphone in this price range. The T5p's
i will be using a portable amp like the Fiio E12 that has a little bit of bass boost..
so i hope this will be enough ..
The review i saw on youtube put these as neutral but with the ability to handle any amount of bass you throw at them.

in my humble opinion as a newbie in audio world i think the best way to go is neutral gear.
And adding bass with an amp.
So one has the control to colour or not to colour..

Well hope that all we be better..!
Otherwise i don't know what to do.?

There not in jet..But the store where i ordered them ordered them specially for me..
They don't stock them by default..

You can use ZO2 to boost the bass but overall sound will be bit muddy.
