T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

I'm getting mixed feelings about this iem. On certain songs, these really shine. Like seriously shine. Outperforms any top tier universals. Nonetheless, with some song, the harshness is just annoying.

Hi kimvictor, could you provide a link to a song where the harshness is bugging you?

To be honest, 80% of my library. I am used to having close to ruler flat mids on UERM. The peak is just bothersome. But just as an example, here is a link.

This is one song. Listen from 3:10(for about 30sec) for harshness. While the recording it self does have some sibilance, it shows extreme harshness on H-200 when it reaches the climax.

With 20% of my library, I love the H-200.

I would say try the DN-1000. Definitely sibilance in it on this song, but it probably does have too much bass for you if you feel the H-200 is too bass heavy.

Yeah, but the DN-1000 has quite a bit more bass than the H-200 (although it can be tuned toward neutral with one of its nozzle rings. I've always thought the H-200 was just shy of basshead-level.

Thanks for sharing kimvictor. Nice song btw.

I do hear the ringing sibilance in the song and tbh it was a bit annoying but not unbearable to me. But definitely it's the worst I've heard on the H200 so far. I'm lucky I don't have that kind of vocals in my song list.

I'll try to do a filter mod and will get back to you if I get to eliminate that problem.

Tried it on the XBA 3 and the ringing sibilance is also there but not as pronounced as the H200.

For me, since I don't listen to a lot a female vocal music I don't find the sibilance as annoying. Only in a couple of band songs when the high-hat and cymbal sounds are a bit...sibilancy lol.

I actually don't think H-200 is that bass heavy. MDR7550 is bit more bassy. It's the peak.

H200 bass is good and not excessive but 7550 bass is better quality and impact. neither of them is bassy for me unless we talk deep lower octave impact. Sony bass extends better too.

problem is 7550 offers little except for bass while H200 offers some better blend and musicality.

I don't hear sibilance with silver rings and comply Ts

btw - beautiful song, don't understand any word, but what a voice she has...

Here's my review of the my upgrade cable: http://www.head-fi.org/t/642308/t-peos-h-200-new-triple-hybrid-iem-appreciation-thread/2130

It shows photos of the connector on the IEM and the gap due to the extra length. It's also a bit thicker than the oem connectors but better because it fits in tight and secure.
I personally prefer the bigger size over the stock connector.

thanks for the link but i'd like to set how much thicker the aftermarket connectors are.  Not too comfortable with jamming something thats the wrong size into something
