T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.

Hoping for slightly more midrange warmth and bigger soundstage and abit more treble extension for the next t-poes creation with removable cable and keeping the same size if possible

How does the soundstage compare to DN1000 and how does it compare overall to KC06A?

I read from Brooko that the bass is a little more than DN1000, so it's capable of head shaking bass with EQ like the 1000 was?

Thanks!

I still have both (Altone 200 & DN-1000).  To me the A-200 appears to have more bass - but it's slight, and could be because of the way the rest of the frequency range is tuned (ie dip in lower mids probably emphasises the impact of the bass).

Out it this way - I feel I'm not missing out with either IEM

Thanks Brooko, how about sound stage? Which one is bigger and more 3D, out of your head?

Thanks much.

Neither really gets far out of your head - IEMs don't generally for me anyway.  I'd put them pretty much on par for staging - both are airy and relatively expansive (for IEMs).  They'll also exhibit different strengths for different tracks - depending if the vocals are focused in lower mids or upper mids.

You can't really go wrong with either - my preference for now remains with the Altone200.

Couple of people have told me that so far.  Problem is I have enough really good IEMs lately & only one set of ears.  I guess I might have to bite the bullet though - just to see what the fuss is about.
