Patience... They said it will come but that they are working out the licensing with Sony. They also confirmed it in writing.

Last two weeks most companies were closed for the holiday season. T+A and Sony are no exclusion to that... So topics like this typically get rescheduled /postponed until the new year.. I'd say give it another 2 months.

I am troubled because on Qualcomm website https://www.qualcomm.com/products/application/audio/qcc5100-series/qcc5127#Overview
it seems the chipset use for the Solitaire T doesn't support LDAC and can handle for audio these features :
Qualcomm® aptX™ audio technology support: Qualcomm® aptX™ Audio, Qualcomm® aptX™ Adaptive, Qualcomm® aptX™ HD
Qualcomm® Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology support: Feedback, Feedforward
Qualcomm® cVc™ Echo Cancelling and Noise Suppression (ECNS) technology support: 2-mic Headset, 1-mic Headset, 1-mic Speaker, Qualcomm® cVc™ Echo Cancelling and Noise Suppression, 2-mic Speaker

End of march, I have twice 14h + 2h flights + 5h transfer between Europe and Japan.. I am wondering what to buy 5909 or Solitaire T .. though I intend to use otherwise the balanced cable in hotels and trains ..

I wouldn't be surprised if LDAC will be offered by bypassing the QCC5127 and using the Sony circuitry instead. The ML 5909 also has the QCC5127 and offers both LDAC and AptX-HD. T+A will probably follow a similar path.

And don't underestimate the sophistication of the Solitaire T's internal circuitry layout. As you can read here https://www.head-fi.org/threads/t-a-solitaire-t-wireless-headphone.964925/page-46#post-17327964 the SolT are quite well thought out...

Very brief comments of Solitaire T vs ML 5909 vs Focal Bathys vs B&W PX8.

I owning the Bathys and px8 recently but returning them so my comments about this 2 headphones are from recent memory, but even a few minutes of audio memory isn't 100% reliable. I still owning the 5909.

I think that if you giving this 4 headphones to 100 people in the street, more people choosing the Bathys, then the px8, then the 5909 ONLY IF ANC is on (because you having more bass), and then the ST. So, now after my unscientific survey, this is how I see, very generally, this 4 headphones.

The Bathys is the winner for general public because is have a big / grand sound with very good soundstage that can impressing people easily. For me, unfortunately, I finding 2 problems. One is the mids are never convincing and are sounding a little too recessed, even after using EQ that is helping but not really solving the problem, and I also needing EQ'ing bass down with more music that necessary. The other really HUGE problem for me personally is the, for my ears, extreme volume changes between only one volume step (up or down) and other in iOS and macOS. This is so frequently horribly frustrating, and after all this time and many complaints Focal doing nothing for solving this problem. Also, the EQ isn't covering the frequencies I really want changing, but still not so bad.... The Bathys design isn't my style at all, is looking, for me, a little ghetto for my taste. Other aspects I don't like but don't mentioning now.

The px8 I immediately need using EQ for decreasing bass and increasing treble in the app's EQ. I still own the P7W that sharing some sonic aspects but the P7W, even after 6 years, is very more correct in the mids and treble performance even when EQ isn't available. The px8 is more about adding too many spices / flavourings and having very good construction quality. The design in general is very nice, but one thing I really, really not liking about this headphone is the very prominent "bowers & wilkins" writing in shiny letters in the earcups ("Look at me AND I look expensive!!").

ML 5909 having a design I don't like, but construction quality is really excellent, the best of all this 4 headphones, in my view. Funny but I actually appreciate the cheap look design because isn't attracting attention at all (I prefer wearing this in public than px8 ands Bathys). The 5909 is, in my opinion, the only headphone that really competing in sound quality with the ST, but the 5909 is adding a bit too much spice in the treble area, giving enhanced detail in less realistic way than you finding in the real world. This is a little more problematic at more high volumes where is becoming fatiguing with some music. Also, the sound isn't consistent in all modes, but the 5909 is still really very, very good.

The ST, the boring sounding headphone with not sufficient spices and even a small soundstage...

The ST for me is the very more honest headphone that is the more close like a clean (boring) window representing audio in a more honest and natural way, either from studio quality recordings, or from venues with good acoustics (so, so, so many venues have terrible acoustics!...I often laughing when people so frequently saying X headphone sounding just like live concert...I usually think "I don't want this headphone")

This are very brief comments and I can saying a lot more but I think the is sufficient.

My personal ranking: ST > 5909 > Bathys >> px8.
Did you use the Bathys out of the box or after a burn in time.

Naww, thanks for referencing my post, but kudos also goes to @angelom who posted the review that had the schematic diagrams! 😊

I also completely forgot to register that both Mark Levinson No. 5909 and T+A Solitaire T have the same Qualcomm chip!
I mean, I knew, but just didn't connect ha ha! 😅🤦🏽‍♂️
I did wonder how Mark Levinson got LDAC support, but of course, the Sony CXD (ANC) chip is the key! 😃

[Edit: typing on my phone and saw many errors due to speed typing, sos ha ha!]

I know some people in Bathys thread saying they hearing big improvement in sound after 50/75/100 hours of burn in. But this comments aren't exclusive of the Bathys thread, this happening with so many headphones and earphones.

I don't believe in burn in, but more in the brain adapting to new sound signature of any headphone / earphone. For me any mechanical burn in, if is really happening, is happening in the first 1-3 hours, and even in this case the sound differences are very minimal and difficult for humans hearing this. Other variables, in my opinion, making people thinking they hearing (big /significant) changes in sound.

I buying the Bathys brand new and using for maybe 30-35 hours.

I agree. There really isn't much physical basis for hardware burn in. Mental burn in is definitely real though. Its why for me its so important to be able to audition headphones over a period of time (hence a fan of crutchfield and their excellent return policy)

I also did not believe in burn in time until I let replace the hifi system in my car by a carhifi specialist. The new sound system was nearly perfect in my ears and my carhifi dealer meant he will optimize it after a burn in period of 50 hours. I won‘t believe it, but the sound really was leveled up after optimization. Maybe this example does not fit with headphones but my personal perception was that the bathys sound more pleasing after 50 hours.

Sadly I returned my Solitaire T’s today, I had time recently to do a lot of listening and for me, unfortunately I found the small ear pads incredibly uncomfortable, in fact it got to the point where they were uncomfortable as soon as I put them on. Sound was fantastic but I can’t justify the cost for the comfort levels. This is obviously very personal to me. But I think the 5909’s may be repurchased

I'm having the same issues. I took a break over the weekend from the Sol T's and will try them again today. I am having a hard time getting a response from the retailer I purchased from in regards to a return, so they may be going up here on the classifieds soon. Mint condition.
