Symphonium Titan - Impressions and reviews

For the fellow Aussies...
Symphonium now stocked by Minidisc
Fellow Aussie Head-Fier here. I’ll be listing mine in the classifieds later, purchased directly from Symphonium. Only a hour listening time so practically new. They sound great (definitely as advertised), but I also bought some ZMFs, and the wallet won’t extend to keeping both. Sydney based but will ship worldwide. PM me if anyone’s interested.

I’ve got a few more hours on my Titans and they are starting to sound really nice, I want to say the sound seems more balanced and cohesive now than when I first got them. I have been listening to the first Progression Sessions cd this morning, these basslines are sounding good through the Titans along with the reassuring rhythmical accompaniment from MC Conrad’s voice being nicely placed in the mix.

My dogs, Marcus and Guy are letting me borrow some of their Symphonium sets for a little while for a little comparison sesh and I now have the Titans in hand, at home, on the desktop.

I am in nirvana.

those who purchased in UK from Symphonium direct did you get charged tax?
I can get it from UK official stockist but its much cheaper direct if no tax

Our official webstore policy is to declare the product at full value during shipment.
Thus it is likely you would get taxed.

I purchased the titan recently. My primary use case is to listen at the gym while working out. I have a btr15 which can run it but sounds very average. I wanted to know if anyone has used an ifi blu to power this and if it can run the titan well.

Any other portable bluetooth amp/dac suggestions which is powerful enough but not massively sized to run this.

i would rank the go blu around the same as the btr5/btr15; it works but its not great. if you're looking for a bluetooth dongle that can run it i think the BTR7 works better.

The BTR7 works fantastically with the Titan. If you don't need BT or any of the other software features of the BTR7, the KA17 is a small dongle from FiiO that has almost double the power of the BTR7 if you have concerns about that.

Thank you. I will try to check out the BTR7. Since my usage is mostly in the gym I would need bluetooth. At home I have a Cayin RU7 which is able to drive it comfortably.

Thank you. Guess ill skip the ifi go blu. I had a BTR7 a couple of months ago. Sold it off and picked up the BTR15 as it was more compact. I'll try to find one and test it out.
