I dunno, crimson sounds different than Helios. How’d Symphonium fit a subwoofer into crimsonThat was such a spoiler. You killed all the discussions on whats inside the Crimson. The next debate should be if this info is true. Lol

it was posted long ago though it was removed from the page once I posted that here. So I had no further curiosity given that ZP accidentally released the driver configuration. That was such a spoiler. I have all my curiosity in how it sounds and compares with others. I mean if it’s 4BA and has such good tuning and bass as suggested by other who own it, that’s a good learning for other brands. Tune well, and just don't pack iems with too many drivers.it was posted long ago though it was removed from the page once I posted that here. I agree. Well ppl love shortcuts hence so many drivers, look some brands, 999 drivers but how many is working, no one knows kekwI have all my curiosity in how it sounds and compares with others. Looks like Zeppelin & Co has a webpage open for Crimson: https://zeppelinandco.com/collections/earphones/products/symphonium-crimson
Neat! I wouldn't have even guessed correctly after comparing Crimson to Helios.
Yeah I guessed 5BA, blew my mind when I was told 4BA haha
Friends, enough with the talks on whats inside those Crimson shells. Let’s talk the real talk. To all those who own Crimson, please put some comparisons with other iems - which are in its price range +- 300usd. I am interested in its comparison with iems as - Noble Sultan/Kublai Khan, U12t, Mest3 etc. I know they are quite above the price of Crimson, but is Crimson capable enough to reach/scale such sound?
Hey, I’ve heard it a couple times at this point.
It’s definitely better than the Sultan if you’re looking for something with more energy up top. It’s just significantly more hires sounding in general.
Kublai Khan is actually pretty good. More relaxed, more treble sparkle -> Kublai Khan. MEST MKIII has something similar going on to the Kublai Khan. If you want more resolution, slam, and dynamics -> Crimson is better. I prefer Crimson to these two.
U12t has a more open presentation because of the more controlled bass shelf and recession in mid-treble. Just a smoother listen in general. But Crimson sounds more technical due to more upper-mids and mid-treble. The bass on the Crimson has even more sub which really lets it thump. I’d say Crimson’s at least at the same level overall if not better assuming tips are dialed in.
I do think the U12t is less finicky when it comes to sources/tips though, as I’ve had a slightly different experience demoing Crimson each time. First time off the Hiby R6ii Pro, it sounded fantastic. Not Storm level but not far off either. Second time off Apple dongle, it sounded just decent even with tip swapping. Too spicy up top. Swapping to a Kobo stack w/ the same tips and same unit, it sounded fantastic again. Third time with Questyle M15 it sounded very good, but not fantastic. Anyways, I’d want to A/B it more if I get the chance.

Oh man! If you say what it is, then Crimson is a lot more impressive than what few owners have mentioned. I already love Kublai Khan a lot. I think it has pretty decent bass and everything else for a good iem. More resolution, slam and dynamics tha KK on Crimson - ooh la la laaa.Kublai Khan is actually pretty good. Which one do you say it's the most suitable for Rock and Metal ?

This is one I can answer, having listened to both side by side. Can you please compare Crimson vs Tia Trio a bit ?
Which one do you say it's the most suitable for Rock and Metal ?
Immediately, Trio has a wider stage and sharper transients. Overall, the presentation feels grander. On very busy progressive metal tracks, I am able to pick up on everything slightly easier on Trio, while Crimson could sound slightly congested playing the same tracks. Not to say Crimson isn't able to handle busy tracks; it definitely can. Trio just makes everything pop out slightly better.
Where Crimson makes its departure from Trio lies in the mids in my opinion. Crimson has a "fuller" midrange sound, and I enjoy it to Trio for tracks that emphasize vocals or electric guitar.
Purely in terms of rock/metal music, I'd have to give it to Trio. But for my diverse and varied library, Crimson is overall the winner.
For me, I'd rank Crimson above a bunch of $1K+ stuff. It easily beats Nio and Andromeda 2020, and I like it over Anole VX(in any config), IER-M9, and Alita as well. I also would rank Crimson above Z1R, Monarch MK2, MEST MK1 and MEST MK3. So yeah, I like it a lot. It's my favorite IEM, period. My IEM Mount Rushmore would probably be Crimson, MEST MK3, Butastur, and Z1R.
Crimson mids are sneaky good too, with good body, clarity, and both male and female vocals are equally engaging. Vocals maybe aren't quite on par with Monarch MK2 and Butastur if striking clarity is your thing, but Crimson is also thicker with more bass, and beats them in most other categories...and it is strikingly clear too, anyway.
Edit - btw, the Pentaconn Brass tips aren't a very good match for Crimson imo, as it becomes more likely to cross over into harsh/sharp territory. I've been using the Velvet tips.

Excited to get the Crimson in seeing this. Already had the Diva, ordered and will receive Z1R tomorrow. Got a Hiby coming in tomorrow as well. Think I'm pretty set until I see something else I like. For me, I'd rank Crimson above a bunch of $1K+ stuff. Hey guys !
Just purchase the Crimson from fellow headfier @sindri1980. Glad to be joining this thread and share impressions !
Can’t wait to get them and compare to my other full BA set, the IER-M9.
Also, I was just looking at Crinacle’s video and his take on the Hidition Viento.
Is it me or are they sharing a similar implementation of a 4-way crossover with a 4 driver setup ? If it’s the case, I’d imagine that each of Crimson’s driver handles its own frequency range also. From a purely tech point of view, feels like the Crimson could be a sort of universal Hidition Viento (minus the tuning of course). Which is great, since not everyone wants to go thru the hassle of custom. And giving how much Crinacle raves on about the Viento and its “efficiency porn” even after 9 years, I think it bolds well for the Crimson.
Cheers !

Pretty good review when you consider Crimson seems to fall well outside of their preferences. I wonder what their take on Aur Alita and Aurora would be.
wondering what current Crimson owners are pairing these IEMs with? I am using the Shanling M6 ultra, Ibasso 320 amp 12 and the ifi go blu. Oddly the go blu has a very good synergy with the Crimson followed by the superior m6 ultra. I like the 320 but at times it can be a bit intense with he Crimson.

I found the RS6 to be a good pairing, though I can see people finding it overly warm as Crimson and RS6 are both on the warmer side.wondering what current Crimson owners are pairing these IEMs with?
