The manual is out on the webpage under the Technical Document tab.

Right now I am shocked at the output level capabilities of this little amp.  I am driving my HE6 at maybe 10:30 o'clock on the volume knob with more than adequate volume.  The HE6 are using a 5 foot WyWires Red headphone cable plugged into a 10 foot Black Dragon extension.

Currently I just have it hooked up to an older OPPO DVD player, which may be the limiting factor.

This will be an interesting breakin process.

Got rid of the 10 foot extension and 5 foot cable replacing both with a single 15 foot WyWires. Much improved over the mixed. :)

I am in the same boat. It should just peel off like a post it but I can not get any corner started. Maybe take the top off and let it soak in soapy warm water. That is what I plan to try next.

My fiancee peeled it off straight away. You will have unscrew the top though.

Yes.  I have the single dual v5 but I think why didn't I go with the 2 single v5.

As I type I am listening using it powering my Grado GH1.  This seems like a great pairing as long as your source doesn't overload the Lycan then you have no range on the volume.  However, at this moment, I am actually using an old Panasonic SL-S341C Car / Portable CD player recommended by HeadRoom back in the early days and its line out into the Lycan provides a very good match in this current times.

How about this pairing??  Though with its output currently set to fixed, it is a little strong for the Lycan leaving limited volume control for the GH1:

Hi Guys,

Here are the simple steps to remove the protective layer from the Lycan's top plate.

1. Use a small screwdriver, remove the top plate from the unit.
2. Apply a small amount of oil to one small section.  (cooking oil could do the trick but eucalyptus oil is more ideal and smells better)
3. Wait a few minutes for the oil to work into the paper.
4. Peel it off easily. (
5. screw the top plate back on.  Do not over tighten please, or you could crack the top plate.

Happy listening,

Team Burson.
