It’s the worst I have seen, or imagined.
Take some gear, but I get getting light as well

I must say people on this thread make my collection feel pathetic. Also gives me something to aspire to. I’ll get there one day let’s hope.
Then again - What counts as Summit-Fi?
The X9K is nice. I had it, sold it, but I had it. The SRM is not adequate. Plus once you get that, then you think about servers/streamers, then power conditioners, then cables, then blah blah blah. It never ends. People have the HE-1 and get streamers/servers and better dacs. There is no end. It's just an endless cycle of spending more money on better and better things. It's a disease. It's an addiction. We all have it, but maybe we don't recognize it.Some (99%) would argue that a $8k headphone collection is the upper range (save had friends say “those where $700?!?! that’s crazy” one day i hope i’ll get to this level, at least Utopias and Hugo level (dream system: stax SRM-T8000 + X9000) but probably not to $100k plus (I

Hope you find the grass is greener. The Nordic countries have the best standard of living. I have blond hair and pale skin. I'm made for the cold. I love their music too (black metal for the win).
I need to move out ASAP. What's happening in the US is despicable. It's terrible. I don't know if I can weather the storm for 4 years. I'm gonna seriously consider moving out. What else can I do? All the right has all the guns. If there is a civil war, the right would win. It's time to move out. I'm seriously considering selling all my sh!t. I need to get out of the US ASAP. It's terrible here. Everything is going to sh!t. It's a fukcing worse case scenario. If you pay attention to the news, you know what I'm talking about. It's time to leave. This is some late 1930s sh!t. It's that bad.
I guess a job would helpY'all American folks with decent jobs got too much moolah at disposal is the cause of disease!
I probably spent over £20k in gear and headphones that I currently have in my collection and its a matter of finding "your sound" rather than extremely expensive headphones with insane technical performance. I own the Stax SR-009 and owned the Stax SR-009S which I recently traded for another MK1 007. The 009 & 009S were very impressive with their technical performance but lacked the emotional response in a lot of music I listen to. Sure they sound amazing for classical and orchestral types of music but that is a small part of my overall library. The MK1 007 strikes a perfect balance between technical performance and musicality for me and I am truly now at peace with the two 007s I have. The LCD 4 & 24 offer nice distractions and I still have the 009 for more treble focused music.
At this point, I have great gear, cables and headphones and no weak points in the chain so I am inclined to just save up for another car now instead of "wasting" more money into this hobby. I started in this hobby properly in 2022 with HD 700, LCD 2C etc. so to find endgame listening after only a couple of years is somewhat lucky after seeing so many people go down this rabbit hole for many more years.
nice headphones to “start” with (arguably already pretty far into the hobby with these) I guess this is where the argument of not starting with expensive equipment comes from, allowing you to better appreciate what you upgrade to (i’ve got a friend who decided to get into headphones and bought 1266 straight up, kind of pointless if you don’t recognise or appreciate what you have). I started with Sennheiser momentum’s, bought fiio jh3 and ifi hip dac a year later, now have Stax SRS-2050II system, still entry level by some standards but well on the way.At this point, I have great gear, cables and headphones and no weak points in the chain so I am inclined to just save up for another car now instead of "wasting" more money into this hobby.
