Summit-Fi Random Thoughts

If you yourself don't recognize having a hint of ear trauma listening to a beat and
If I listen too loud I do, otherwise obviously not. If you do, I’d advise consulting your doctor or an audiologist. If everyone suffered from ear trauma when listening to music, far fewer would listen to music! And, I can’t see how this is supposedly a flaw with ABX, do you only ever listen to beats when doing ABX tests?
how sensitive digital chains are to electrical disruption
What electrical disruption? You don’t change the power supply when switching in an ABX test. If you’re talking about changing the audio signal, then the audio signal is constantly changing. Surely you’re not suggesting a digital system takes “at least a minute to settle down” after a transient, change of key, tempo, etc.?
then I have nothing else to say.
If you are being serious, that’s maybe a wise choice. :)

I can’t tell if you’re being serious now.

Trying to fast switch between vinyl LPs might take “at least minute to settle down” but obviously not with software/RAM/computers.

Again, are you being serious? Most music repeats the same notes over and over again, are you really claiming that almost all music listening causes ear trauma? I’d like to see the evidence you’re basing that claim on.

G
He is totally serious. And completely deluded. Best to ignore his diatribe diarrhea.

Coming from someone who uses >16w to drive his HP that only needs a few mw, I rest my case.
It's not like more power reserves make it sound worse.

It's a weird Argument to "rest your case" about ABX tests, to suddenly bring up power output.

Random thought:

A non insignificant amount of high end headphones are clearly designed to visually humiliate the user. We are clearly self deprecating masochists.

....Change my mind.

Facts!

The best sounding headphones look like monstrosities.

Luckily, I just care about sound. Though I’ve seen many posts from people saying they won’t try the TCs because they look so ridiculous, so some people care. Their loss.

We should rename it from summit-fi to dork-fi as I imagine every pair of eyes reading this looks, at least statistically, half as stupid as I do writing it.

Also, TC? As in Diana? Youre one styling hifier if so. Those are like legit the most "Im clearly not a dork" headphones in the upper end of headphones.

Definitely their loss. More enjoyment for me.

Ear trauma, poor fundamentals, weak chain where it came to a point that a huge amp is needed.
Doesn't change the fact that your point to rest the case has no connection to the actual topic of the discussion in which you try to rest your case
