I was all set to order the stuff for 1.1

Now I see 1.2 coming soon and all 1.1 boards are sold out

Was there a major change?

I noticed this last night too, maybe everyone bought up all the boards in a rush for M3 and PPA2? Or maybe the boards were defective somewhere and require a new revision? Though I doubt tangent get's his board designs wrong

probably a rush for ppa 2.

I plan on using it for my ppa 1.1 and millett hybrid.

I'm going to hang back a bit on the PPA 2 a wait to see a completed parts list.

There was no massive run on the boards. They're moving slow as ever.

The deal is this: STEPS v1.1 was a short prototype run. They had no serious problems, so I put the excess boards from the prototype set in the store. Meanwhile, I made v1.2 with some minor changes. They haven't arrived yet, but the few v1.1s are gone.

There are still plenty of v1.0s, which also work fine, and are still recommended if you're on a 120V power system. The boards are cheap now, too. I want 'em gone.

Has issue with Euro regulations been adjusted for Tangent?

I see.....

So the parts list hasn't changed other that the smaller line filter in Ver. 1.1 / 1.2

Tangent I'll relieve you of one 1.0 boards along with a 1.2 as well when they come in.

I am going to make 1 24 Volt and one 28 Volt

How much clearer can I be? From the history page:

Made line filter choke smaller to keep primary side farther from secondary side.

Apologies, I thought previous steps was 1.1 so I didn't bother reading the changelog 1>1.1, only 1.2.

are the amp for sale builders eating them up ??

maybe those guys could pre order a heap or order extra thru tangent in advance so that us "normal" diy'ers might have a chance to grab them next time

Yes, I know. For various reasons, I didn't order a full production run of v1.2, but first a small prototype run. The day they arrived, they were all snapped up! I figured they'd last at least a week, based on past trends. Pent-up demand, I guess.

Anyway, I've got the production run on the way as fast as I can get it without paying out the nose for the boards. They should be here in about two weeks. In the meantime for 120V countries, there's still plenty of v1.0s here.

Is v1.0 only preferred for 110V countries due to safety? I mean it's still full functional for 240V countries right?
