and you need a taller stand so your 4070 can get some more clearance from the amp right below it - you don't want pad pressing or cup scuffing down there!

Beautiful headphone, but wait.... you said wood?

I throught 404 is already heavy (in headphone standard), but with wood?

... can you give your equipment a little room to breath? I felt sorry for them.

Congratulations! These sure are some rare piece of headphones. This is the first time I read about them in Head-Fi.

So how do they sound!?

Congratulations, they certainly look well made, hope they sound as good (Not that I have doubts).
I also hope I can scrounge a listen some time.

So what are they made of? Metal? What do you think is under the leather for those two "arc assembly" thing? Metal too?

The housing is wood, the forks and headband are metal (seems to be aluminium allow or something. I think some lighter magnesium allow wouldn't have hurt the design any, personally)

Oh, and wondering, how do you adjust the leather strip height? It doesn't look like it slides.

The strip has heavy-duty elastic in it.

Not self adjusting enough, unfortunately. They're something you buy for the sound, not the wearing comfort.

Need more time with them, but I'll say this; the sound will be very much to both you and Lloyd's tastes. Think SR-X times infinity.

That was just for the photo op. It's staying in its box.

Yes, they certainly aren't light. Lets put it this way; the cable alone weights almost as much as a Qualia 010.

(saw lot of equipments that I can't afford be piled-up together...)

They are actually alright as-is. The really hot stuff like my amp and CD player are sepperated.

Congrats on the new phones, I've got to buy a 4070 soon

Unfortunately the 4070 isn't as comfortable as the O2, despite what it may look like. Very little of the weight is dispersed around the ears because of the low clamping force, so most goes onto the head. The elastic on the headband has too much give in it, too.

Thanks Alex. You you just need to get those O1s...

They certainly are rare, and the sound is such that they shouldn't be. But I need more than a few songs to really unearth their true nature.

Of course. Let's say that with my current amp they wipe the floor with the HE60s using the HEV70, although that isn't a fair comparison I know.
