Hello, I have been using my SRH440s for about a month now (been burning in as I go) and was wondering if
A. If the SRH440 can accommodate the pads from the SRH840
B. If this has any effect on the isolation, sound, etc.

Thanks!

I have had the 440's for about a month, and I recommend the 840 pads.  I didn't have them long enough with the regular pads on them to do a real sound comparison, but the 840 pads are SO worth it for the comfort.  Much nicer feel, and softer.

Yes.
840 pads fit the 440s.
I used the 440s with the original pads until they started cracking and breaking.
Bought the 840s and quickly noticed the difference in sound (a bit warmer, more bass notable) and comfort.

Completely recommend them.

P.S. Material for the 840 pads is better and these pads have not shown any signs of breakeage and I've had them for more than 1 year now.

the 840 pads are the way to go. I got mine from sweetwater.com - really good price and fast, free shipping.
