just received my SR80i, but it still says SR80 on the heaphone itself. The box has barcode and a big label says it is SR80i

is that what it supposed to look like?

i believe so my sr80is are like that too.

The button on the 'phones don't have the i on them, even if the i model.

Don't worry, that's perfectly normal. The defining characteristics with the 80i's are the larger air chamber (almost like a mushroom), and the fact that they come with comfy pads.
