SpinFit Eartips Thread - The cheapest audio upgrade

I am using CP500 (M) now and am testing CP800 (on a different pair of IEMs, or rather, earplugs). I noticed that all sizes of the CP800 have this "suction/vacuum" effect when removing the IEM from my ears. At larger sizes, this will be more noticeable. This did not occur with the CP500 at any sizes.

Is this normal and safe for long term usage?

These actually look great and I'm a little curious about them.

I've demo'd the Comply ear tips which can be nice for the bass boost but these days I'm not a huge fan of how much they tone down the treble especially on Sennheiser earphones.

I get the feeling that on say the IE800 and IE800S stock ear tips are probably the best fit tone wise over anything aftermarket such as these. Would I be right in assuming that?

Yes, it's normal, and it's not just the CP800. Just go slow when removing the IEM.

Ha anyone tried the 2nd gen of these and compared to the 1st gen? Are they truly softer?

Edit: To clarify, I am talking about the 2nd gen of the single flange. Not the double flange

I have the new CP100. Yes, they are softer, specifically at the upper part. easier to get a seal with some IEMs

2nd what Zelda said above - Actually, I just wrote a review on them here. In summary, the new CP100 tips are softer and gripper so they're a bit more stable in the ear. The shape has also been slightly elongated for a deeper and easier fit. On close inspection, they have an E-pro-style horn on the outlet of the articulating elbow which provides less high-frequency attenuation than the originals for a more balanced and open sound. I personally have found them more transparent sounding than the originals with my IEM collection. Eye candy below:

Just wish they did multipacks again. Quite expensive in the uk for a pair at £14.00! Get a medium and large and you are talking £30.00 which is only £5 less than a set of impressions!
