Sound Rhyme impression thread

I've been listening to my SR5 for a week. It sounds a little too bright (?) to me, or maybe something with the treble region, makes it fatiguing at times. Is it just me, or do you guys notice similar characteristics?

I've tried a few tips: final e, spinfit cp145&w1, azla xelastec, feaulle h570, fiio hs18. No luck.

To report back, I tried EQ by -3db@4khz, -4db@8khz, -5db@16khz. Now the brightness/fatiguing seems weakened. Music sounds a little distorted, so I'll try add back some dbs.

This EQ game is quite new (and fun) to me. Any recommended app for a newbie? Currently I'm using the simple EQ tool in the music app on mac.

I tried a lot of iems yesterday at a local shop, mostly in the $300-600 range. Most of them don't sound nearly as mature or polished as SR5. Vocal/guitar really come alive with SR5.

There is a very unique wireless neckband bluetooth receiver by Moondrop, which supports LDHC/Aptx-Adaptive/Aptx-HD for very high quality wireless streaming, it has PEQ (parametric EQ) which does a lot more than simple bar EQs, you can set frequencies(Hz), amplitude(dB) and width (Q) at your own will.

As I see you are from China, probably you can find from local taobao, or goofish.

It’s Moondrop Littlewhite.
If your DAP support LDHC /Aptx-Apaptive or HD, it’s a good EQ options to consider.

Wow nice pic, if you can compare all of them would be nice!

No worries, there will be a detailed impression/review. At this moment I'm enjoying it with Penon Leo Plus cable & Marunana eartips.

Yes I saw the Littlewhite yesterday at the shop. I was busy trying all the iems so didn't try it. It sure looks promising at the spec. IIRC it's the first neckband receiver with cs43131 chip. Not sure if I want to switch to wireless just for the EQ though. Quite happy with my current dongles (e1da 9038sg3 and meizu hifi pro).

Blessing3 and Littlewhite are selling like hot cakes in China. I was going to the shop to pick up blessing 3, but walked away after trying them on. Moondrop tuning really doesn't suit me. When I was there, several ppl walked in and picked up the blessing3, and a few with littlewhite. No other brand iem was sold at all.

Hey @AmericanSpirit where have you seen all this info on the Littlewhite? Have missed PEQ part?

Hi everyone,
I received my DTE900 last week and after burnin, went through a sort of thorough listening session with these little beauties.
I apologize for the late impressions and my thoughts on this, I was really busy last couple of weeks.
I will try my very best to cover everything in the full review, but for now I'll upload some pictures.

This is a custom made for my preference and built quality is top notch.
It is an absolute delight.💎

It’s a bit of shortcoming that Sound Rhyme isn’t really talented in naming, they are surely solid engineers and tuners, SR8 is too plain in a naming IMHO.

A butterfly name like Morpho didius (it has structural blue, which pretty is rare to see blue colored animals in the nature)

Or some sort of dragon name may be better representing it’s performance over plain SR8 (people would think it’s a 8 unit IEM, if SR5 is 4+1)😅

When can we expect a full review of the SR8 and comparison with the DTE500 and SR5 and others? 🙏

Sure, just like the idea of a neckband style with PEQ for the easy of use in the office.
I clip mines to my shirt under my neck and use a custom short cable. I think it’s more comfortable that way.

My company is a Japanese company and has March fiscal year end, my review time is being reserved by job duties😢 Maybe next weekend I may have a day reserved for that.
