Seriously, the SR5 is mind blowing good with a good cable and tips, these should be staggering!

sound wise...hum, its less convincing. kinda wannabe basshead that fail to achieve being basshead IEM...
but we will see, anyway. hope are low here.

I am rethinking whether to go for the neon pro or sr8!!
( I unfortunately didn't like the dte900, I did compare it with my friends anole vx, variations, ect. He loved it. But for me, it was less exciting. I'll upload the review soon )

Second impressions after burning in the SR5 for 10+ hours: So far I'm only using Dunu S&S eartips and ISN S2 cable with them. The SR5 sounds very rich, spacious and the punch is hard enough to my liking! Listening over 15 minutes the treble is a bit too spicy. I'll probably use a darker cable like BlackSoul and/or eq them. Still too lazy to start measuring with my coupler and AutoEQ doesn't know the SR5 yet.
I think the Dunu eartips are great on them as the nozzle isn't wide. A wider bore tip like H570 would probably make them too bright.
Ootb the SR5 sound more exciting than Truthear HEXA, but on the other hand the latter is more comfortable for longer listening. I like the shell of SR5s more. They fit pretty well and I can touch more surface to pull them out.
Hey man -- nice impressions and pictures... I'm kind of coming 'round to getting either the Sound Rhyme SR8, or possibly Penon Impact. Would you be able to share some comparisons? I'm currently enjoying the ISN H50, and FatFreq Maestro SE (don't really expect either of the considerations to have anywhere near the low end of this, but something a bit more than the H50 would be welcome).
Impact - W Signature emphasis in mids, Vocal focused, Excellent Details/Resolution. Wide SS
Mentawai - Warm W Signature, DD Bass/Rumble, Suprising Details and Coherence. Intimate SS
SR8 - Neutral with slight bass boost (Treble & Bass Switches down) Laidback.
Very Mild U-Shaped (Bass & Treble switch up)
Energy & Details at the top. Best imitate of DD bass with BAs.
More impressions to come but what makes the SR8 impressive is the 2 switches that actually change the sound signature; as a result, it makes is very versatile.

SR5 > GAEA
DTE500 = Empire Ears
SR8 = God-Like
