^ Nope, since I was just talking about extension.

Thing is, you get the same extension without EQ, but subbass is partly masked by midbass. The XBA-4 really reward EQing, first and foremost in the mids.

While it pains me to cede ground to the ie 800,albeit it not defining ground, i should have more luck with the Stax 009 cobbled together with a blue hawihi(sic) thinghie for tomorrow's side by side!

I purchased the XBA-H3 and it's on it's way.

The one I purchased is Japanese import. However, I have a question; is the Japanese and the European versions are 100% the same ? which one would you prefer ?

Thanks.

Hi guys :)

I have the Sony XBA-4. I'm interested in the H-3... But what is/are the difference(s) between the XBA-4 and the H-3 in terms of sound quality ?

Technically, which one is the best ?

Dannybai gave his comparison a few pages back.

"I really like the H3 and after comparing to the XBA-40 that I still have, the H3 blows away the 40's, especially in the vocals and treble.  I don't have the pickiest of hearing and enjoy many sounds from various earphones and the H3 ranks as one of the more pleasing sounds I've heard from any earphone."

i just heard h1 again(returned these a month back) in sony shop and compared to gr07 mk2.

bass is pretty decent but mids and highs cannot match gr07 which is understandable as gr07 is 2 times the price of h1.

anyone compared h2 or h3 with gr07 mk2??care to share the findings?

GR07 is $179.99 and the Sony XBA-H1 is $159.99 on Amazon.

How is the GT07 is twice the price of the XBA-H1 ?

I am getting the XBA-H3 tomorrow or the day after, cant wait !

in india h1 costs roughly 95-100$(about rs 6200)
http://www.sony.co.in/product/xba-h1

in other outlets it costs lesser than sony store
and gr07 mk2 is only 130$ at lend me ur ears.

what else are u considering in h3 price range(or were)
