Any news on the WF-1000XM5's getting Auracast support?
Hi,
bought WF-1000XM5 today in order to replace Senn MTW3 because I would like more livelier sound, but no matter how I tune WF-1000XM5 sound in their app, they sound pretty edgy to me. Is there some chance that they would after some hours start to sound more relaxed?
Thanks
Have you tried different tips? Comply foams do sound different and are good for optimal ANC (prefer those for the Sony stock)Thank you, but unfortunatelly did not help. Guitars are stil way sharp and with pronounced edge.
I just bought a pair to replace a pair of XM4s. Try taking the bands above 400 hz down 2 ticks, if that’s not enough take the middle two bands down another tick or two. Get it close and then give your ears a week to adjust. Thanks TooFrank. Further listening shows me that I don’t like so tight and brittle character they have. I prefer more layered and relaxed, but yet dynamic presentation. I tried silicone tips, but cannot remember who made them and that edge is still there.
Sounds to me like you might like the XM4 more than the XM5Thanks. Tried that with EQ, but no luck. It is their core sound. Everything sounds forced, edgy and way too tight… and I like tight and grippy sound, but this is way too much.
Do they mellow out a bit after some hours?
Most probably. Hopefully they will sound more relaxed and textured after some time, but somehow I don’t believe.Sounds to me like you might like the XM4 more than the XM5

In my case yes. It started getting better at 40 hrs and improved more from there. However they never sounded edgy to me, tight yes.Thanks. Tried that with EQ, but no luck. It is their core sound.
