Tidal playing in Exclusive mode - as the MQA file unfolds to 88.2 kHz, it's using this sample rate too when sending the data to the headphones, and it switches to 44.1/48/96 kHz too depending on the file.

After upgrade to 2.0.0 my right earphone progressed fast discharging even faster, in 40 minutes maximum. Left is working as before, around 4-5 hours.
Also, battery charge indicator in application stopped to work (it shows 100% for both buds and case).
Does anyone has similar symptoms?

Only change for me is that ldac consumes battery about 50% faster than aac now that I have mine connected to both A55 and iPhone. In this config I get about 5-6 hours with eq and anc active

Yes. With just aac connected to iPhone they consumed about 10% per hour, with dual connection to A55 and iPhone and playing music over ldac they consume 16-17% per hour

I had no problem but then I don't use MDR Proxy or any other hocus pocus, just plain upgrade with the Sony app when Sony offers a new fw

MDR Proxy is tool for downgrade firmware or flash fw from other regions. It is not required if everything went smoothly

Yes I know what it is but the link you referenced said that the procedure was only required for MDR users so i assumed that it was only MDR users who will have the problem in the firstbplace

No, read whole thread there. Those are user’s experiences thread after updated wf1000xm4 to fw 2.0.0.

Even after flashing the new firmware, battery still sucks (Left only lasts around 20mins, Right around 40ish mins).

Thanks to someone here who mentioned that Sony SG repairs them free of charge (even out of warranty units) - I sent mine in today

Looking for some suggestions for XL tips for WF-1000XM4. Large Sony OEM tips are too small. I am currently using large Comply TruGrip Pro memory foam tips.. They barely seal and leak when laying down/reclining. Hoping to find a slightly larger foam tip to get the best out of the XM4. There seems to be a bit of wiggle-room in the Sony charging case so slightly larger tips than the Comply should work.

I would appreciate any suggestions from experience Head-Fiers.

Haven’t used any of them for many years so can’t help, but when I did I used the Comply with the build in wax guard, this was on Etymotics
