I found that using Neutron music player with my f806 sound slightly better than the stock player.Music sound more spacious and slightly better separation althought clarity a bit loose..currently using stock earbud..Anyone found the same?

I havent noticed any issues from what they say will benefit.
 
I dont understand what Sony is doing. They are releasing updates for Flac (previously with the Z walkman) and now DSD (with the ZX-1 & F880 series) INSTEAD of us having it right out of the box.
 
Are they speculating first and then releasing according to sales or just rushing out daps?

Have a F806 running 1.13. Anyone thinks the OS performance is extremely slow and laggy, more than you would expect from a Tegra 2? I've never used it on other firmware versions before, so this is my only reference point.

I would like to know how I can change the battery on this player. Been using it daily over 1,5 years andthe battery lasts about half of what it should, and would love to have the battery replaced.
 
I have a service point here in Sweden that can do it. But since I have the f-807 from asia they told me that they might not be able to have a compatible battery. They only provide batteries from europe. Also the said I should find a compatible battery on ebay (which I couldn't BTW)
 
What to do? Is it right that my unit have a different battery than the units from europe?

Yes there is, I got mine off eBay (LOD WMPORT to 3.5mm), and for the LOD to miniUSB you can also get the official Sony adapter off eBay.

whoo hoo! finally a Sony DAP with a micro sd card slot! prayers answered at last!!! it doesn't feature wi-fi nor android nor a touchscreen but for a high def Sony that can (if you add a 128gb card) store 192gb for only $300 I am definitely in when this comes out! (and yes it will be sold stateside starting in late september!)
