As promised, the DIY guide for making your own OTG cable for feeding Sony A15/A17 into HA-2 can be found here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/776246/diy-sony-a10-series-audio-players-usb-otg-cable-for-oppo-ha-2

I bought a similar cable (based on WMC-NWH10) to connect my A17 to HUGO. But, can't seem to make it work.
Is there any trick to put the A17 in digital transport mode?

There are two version of this cable. One works with ZX1 (and probably ZX2) feeding into Sony's DAC+amp (*PHA-2 and etc), there other one works with Oppo HA-2 (*the one I made). Can't be sure which version you have,

This is the Oppo HA-2 version from Amazon.

Don't own a Hugo to try it out for you, but very likely the OTG cable just incompatible with Hugo. Last time I tried to pair A10 with Hugo, I used the official WMC-NHW10 cable and that works for me.

guys, just want to ask if A15 have a usb dac support? i'm planning to pair it with a Ibasso D14 via usb port. will the set-up work, or only amping via LOD cable will work?

yes it does .... but via a special connecting cable to extract the digital information from it .... and it affect the battery life badly .. the battery life will be about 6 hours or so !

Never run down the battery before, so I can't say for sure. But there should not be any difference between my cable and that of Amazon or MusicHeaven, as electronically they are identical. But given the battery life difference between A10 and HA-2, I'll say it is more likely the HA-2 will run out of battery first before A10, which should be 7 hours or so according to Oppo's official number.
