No, it's a bad idea for the HD-650. I have both the 600 and 650 and tried them on the more powerful 1AM2. They need high gain mode except for the odd track. As I recall, there is enough power without high gain to simply listen, but you're sitting right at 115 - 120 with no room to move up on quieter tracks or if you feel like taking it up a notch.
My cans (HiFiMan Sundara) have impedence of 25 Ω and sensitivity of 103 dB (fairly easy to drive). Will I have any trouble if I get a model of the ZX707 without high gain?
Initial impressions: I was able to drive ie 900 with 707 at 45-50/120 volume at high gain with balanced 4.4. fiio fdx at 35-40/120 volume at high gain with balanced 4.4
Very much impressed with 707 compared to zx 507 capped verion. very handy and pocket friendly.
dsd remastering is good. very good sound stage. very musical not much a detail oriented unless dsd remastering is switched on.
approx 8-10% discharge per hour on streaming spotify/amazon music and higher on apple music.
octa core cpu from qualcom 4x2 ghz, 4x1.8 ghz, 4 gb ram. UI is very smooth. display is above average wwhich i dont bother much. disabled some apps which i dont use.
