BT buds = DAC in buds. I will think DAP wont make much difference.
it does.
sony zx507 + airpods pro vs iphone + airpods pro is like sky and ground.
sound quality is not even comparable.
source matters.

does anyone knows if High res streaming ON/OFF impacts playback from sd card? more less soundstage etc. I remember such claims were made a year ago.
any verification?
I ve just turned it off to preserve battery life. does it has impact in offline mode?

I really like the speed and charge time on the player. However I will say that there are more resolving sounding player out. This player is my going out player to use. While my main player is the ibasso dx300 at home.

Hello NW-ZX507 owners,
Could anyone of you advise that if the DAP can be used as a digital transport feeding digital signals to a dac/amp combo?
Many thanks,
jjss
Using the Sony music player, if you connect a USB DAC/AMP to the player it should offer to output to it. It’s how it behaves with Sony’s own TA-ZH1ES

Yes, Hi-Res streaming does affect local playback as well. I personally always keep it off. I prefer the cleaner sound with it off for both local and Tidal Hi-Fi streaming. my preference is with DSEE Ultimate turned on. Now that makes a wonderful difference.

Depends if you're talking locally stored files through the Sony Music player, or locally stored files through an Android service like Apple Music. Through Sony, getting like 12hrs balanced, Apple Music like 8 maybe. Small battery, so using a charger it refills in like 30-45 minutes

Wired, sleeping 7hrs playing balanced, still have 40 to 50 percent battery left. Local stored music, not stored through android streaming service offline. Sony music player
