$229 and no Apt X HD or LDAC, no thanks.
Should be as simple as connecting regular BT headphones. Apt X HD or LDAC headphones have a 2nd setting of best sound possible where the software will then use the best sound possible.
FWIW, my experience since getting my ZX507 in mid-July, using 4.4mm out/high gain/high res streaming & direct source <On>/vol at 50-55, I use just over ~6% battery life per hour in normal usage (not constantly having the screen on).
EDIT: an important piece of info: I do not stream; only listen to ALAC files, ~90% 16-bit, 10% 24-bit
Yeah, the small 1500mAh battery is the real issue with Android. A DIY project with at least 3100mAh that would be amazing if we can find the same size battery.
WiFi and screen are typical killers of battery life. The Walkman Battery Saver app that's been mentioned in this thread has settings for killing WiFi, Bluetooth and auto sync on a timed basis, which may help when you forget to turn off those items.
