Basing on memory of the old firmware

New firmware seems to have:

Less mid bass bloat
Brighter treble, more extension, more airnness
More soundstage Width

i thought it was a bit brighter, and had a touch more stage upon first listen after update. not sure if i am imagining it though... LOL

I think those who have heard the zx507 previously, needs to re-evaluate the sound signature once again as the new firmware has changed the sound.

in wich direction can you describe the changes thank you! in wm1a i maded a chart wich describes sound changes in each FW in general it went from warm and mellow to a more prersice and analitical aproach is it the same?

The ZX507 sounds closer to the tonality of the 1A than 1Z. I have all three including the ZX300. The ZX300 is warmer than both the ZX507 and 1A.

Woww i have zx100 i wonder if its warm compares to zx300

Yes, slightly warmer but the ZX2 is the warmest.

When i heard zx2 i dont know wich fw it had it was long time ago... i recall being closer to wm1a on V1.2 or 2.0 but very far away from newer FW from the unit i tested i remember warmer highs but less detailed.. and overall less detail... in par or a little less than zx100 but bass was better than zx100 but slower than wm1a

WM1Z does sound better, don’t bother with this one unless you need streaming

I am already doing the streaming via Bluetooth Ldac to my wm1z so no need for zx-507 oh well , happy camper money saver haha

I sometime long time ago have listened to zx-300 and found it very good sounding, but still went for wm1z I have to say zx-300 atm was very impressive and I think its way better then mojo for example. So I bet zx-507 is probably like hugo2 quality then

I did a firmware update and saw a unicorn as loading logo is that normal, have any one seen that? was that a ufo ?
