SONY NW-ZX100

Has anyone ever compared the sound of the Sony NWZ100HNSM with the Onkyo DP-X1? (I owned the latter player until I got fed up with its 3-5 hour battery.) Also have a Questyle QP1R that I like but find the UI very difficult to work with.

Sorry for the double post.

The ZX100 has a nice sound quality, love it, very detailed, very neutral, well separated instruments, but the build is a bit of a let down, I don-t own the onkyo

Granted that the NZ100 is not built like a tank ala Lotoo PAW Gold but I really do feel that save for the front button plate (which hasn't given me any problem), the rest of the DAP has pretty good built quality.  Anyway, regardless of how well a DAP is built, I always buy a case for it.  The Dignis case is superb for the NZ100. I also added a screen protector which I bought for very cheap.  The only DAP which I have not added a screen protector is the Lotoo PAW Gold but it comes with sapphire glass.

Sound quality wise, I have no complaints whatsoever.  The added advantage is that it comes with digital out.

As far as sound settings, do y'all turn them on or leave them all off?

Saving up for the new sony DAPs whcich seem to be built like a tank

Am thinking about doing that, but I wonder how soon they'll have them in the U. S. We seem to get all these new items last. One thing for sure, the flagship model is OUT at $3000. Are they trying to compete with A & K? The one that is around $1000 is all I will spend on a DAP.

i can already feel how gerelmx will bully theZX100 users after he got his new toy

in a serious matter, i dont see how the new sony dap can sound far better than ZX100 since XZ100 is as good as ZX2 without the balance output.
if im going to change my ZX100 im going to leave the Sony brand, i do more prefer a dap with dedicated line out and normal usb connector.
as of today im still loving my ZX100 and no plan to change my dap unless this thing die and leave me..

Out of curiosity: why are those two things so important for you?

^ because i want to use my Dap as source for the HD600. its more easy to connect if the dap have a dedicated line out,
just a simple 3.5 jack to RCA and connect to amplifier and viola! fast and simple. i dont want to always carry an extra cable
just to charge or transfer a file to the dap. 1 cable for all the gadget, a standard micro usb cable can make our life simple and cheap.
