Got this DAP for $374, combine it with Z5 and 24/192 hi res = absolutely amazing, listening to latest Eric Clapton album, definitely can differentiate between 16/44.1 and 24/192 :thumbsup_tone2:

also following suggestion from one fellow member of this thread for bill evans - lost sessions, 24/192 hi res, impressive...imaging is so strong, feels like I am there in small jazz club with the trio player...in an intimate situation..

Listening it with no amp @ 12 - 18, battery endurance unknown yet as from unboxing 3/4 bar available - 2 weeks ago, now still 1 bar left..btw i got 200GB micro sd and now total I enjoy 300GB of sound of heaven btw a little tips if anyone can not see the albums in folder view.
After micro sd is inserted to the device, it automatically created 2 main folders : music & receive, and place all your musics in music folder by drag and drop if using windows..

also would like to comment for iphone 6s vs nw zx100 sound quality comparison, i tried several songs pop, rock, jazz with same flac 16/44.1 + Z5 and the result is nw-zx100 is clearly the winner, more detail, clearer, tight/well control & deeper bass..instruments seperation & imaging are much better, never regret buying this DAP...only thing is when travelling now I set up a WD mycloud storage and stream it via iphone 6S using NPlayer...so i can listen thru all my collections

Nope then don't have bad sound and no difference, the ones with a different sound are the european ones​

Is it best to just leave it playing...volume doesn't matter as long as a pair of headphones are plugged in right?

I don't know for sure  i played mine normal and noticed the changes all the way until stabilization

They all sound the same. All verisons are assembled with the same parts at the same factory in Malaysia.
Only EU-version has volume cap which might make you believe iut sounds different.
