Considering this and DX80 - anyone had recently chance to compare them? So far on paper Sony has more pluses for me.

dx80 - is for me a bad player, I wanted to improve it with firmware but it's a waste of time, I don't zx100 but I listened to it in the store and I am amazed by this player!

I just this week tried some players as I am looking for an upgrade to my A17. For me the A17 wins in terms of clarity, details and functionality.
The DX80 sounded way too warm for me plus I was a bit underwhelmed by build quality.

But take it with a pinch of salt as I used my FAD Heaven V for testing which, although SingleBA, is a diva when it comes to output impedance.
For my preferences it actually benefits from higher output impedance, so that may have caused the DX80 sounding too warm for me.
I will need to do that test again with other IEMs

I'm finally going to join the ZX100 team.  Was able to score a nicely price used ZX100 from Ebay for $360 shipped from Hungary.  The seller confirmed that the player is purchased from Accessory Jack so I am worried free about the EURO volume restriction issue.

I would be very surprised if the Japanese version of the ZX100 has other languages in its setting the NW version is for the domestic market only..I had the Japanese version of the A17 and no other languages on it..

Anyone pair zx100 w/mee audio pinnacle 1? Strongly considering sony a3 as next purchase (or h.ear bluetooth).

Anyone use the sony bluetooth cables? Found 1 review but google would not translate for some reason

I was transiting over Narita recently and they do have an "international" version with an English menu available for sale.

I have myself 75% convinced for the XZ100 to be my next DAP after the A17 although they removed the podcast function...

I have paired the ZX100 with the A3 (if you meant XBA-A3) and to me IMO are very mooth and balanced across the spectrum, if not slightly bassy but slightly, great mids and highs
