Hey thanksyour player looks good.
Hey thanksyour player looks good.
what do you want? on eBay there are offers!any one willing to sell their dignis zx100 case ?
I would rate,
1. ZX1 (untouchable resolution and dynamics by the rest here)
2. Tie between ZX100 and Pono (depending on your preference) Pono has balanced outputs which will enable it to sound better than the ZX100 in that respect. Between the two, ZX100 is more balanced sounding and more prominent bass while the Pono may be more "musical" sounding.
3. A55 or A45 rates the same to me.
Thanks for your reply!
A used ZX1 is now available for a low price so I should get a ZX1 then.
Do you think ZX2 is a huge improvement from ZX1 in terms of sound quality?
and I'm curious about iBasso R10 vs ZX1.
The best sounding device I've heard is iBasso R10. However it has so many firmware issues and poor quality control (3.5mm stopped working) so I had to sell it.
ZX1 seems to have much better software. I wonder if ZX1 sound better than R10.
@purk
Thanks, but 1Z is completely out of my budget range now.
I think I will go with ZX1 and XBA N3 combo. I will maybe invest a little more into Sony's 4.4mm balanced cable.
I hope ZX1 will beat iBasso R10 / DX100.
I have Onkyo DP-S1. It has its own signature sound but I think R10 has more details overall. DP-S1 has maybe 85% of R10's clarity and power.
Shanling M1 is maybe a little behind DP-S1. Ruizu A50 has power and clarity but it lacks details. And M1's firmware is way better than A50's.

ZX2 has TRRRS ability for balanced listening. It is an all round player, last of it’s league, an extraordinary gentleman with video playback. Stunning video display. Sound is clean and crisp with quite bass.
I wish Sony had done something similar to the ZX1 as it is a beautiful player but lacks that balanced connection that ZX2 has. I wonder if it’s in it but nobody knows about it?
I personally feel that NW-ZX1 was sounds fast and a bit bright (the designers designed it that way), great for excitment, but not like the subtle and refined as NW-ZX2 or NW-ZX100, depends what music you listen to as well, if classical, acoustic or vocals, NW-ZX2 is ideal if you can live the slightly laggy UI, but NW-ZX100 is more of all rounder
