Update!

I’ve managed to figure this out with the help of Google and some guy on Reddit.

It appears that a pre-order with Amazon jp can go into some sort of payment limbo. And you need to awaken the order from a slumber of sorts!

I just had to go to “View/Edit order” and then ‘view gift options’. Then in there, just needed to select the (already selected) option for ‘no gift wrapping’ and confirm.

This jolted the order back to life and made it recognise a worldwide Mastercard credit card!

NOW I got an email to say that my bank declined a debit attempt…. but that’s now been put right after a quick call to the bank!

Presumably I’m still getting the item by Wednesday next week.

Turns out I’m getting it nearly £300 cheaper then if I’d gone with Amazon UK.

Got there in the end.

I posted my impressions of the zx507 vs WM1AM2 in this thread, just a few pages back.

I think the WM1AM2 sounded very similar to the ZX507 in overall sound signature with fast decay and a fun sound but just that the 1AM2 has better dynamics, bigger space and height and more refined imaging.

The WM1ZM2 sounded quite different to the ZX507. The 1ZM2 has a richer tonality, longer decay and a very high dynamic range.

Both the 1AM2 and the 1ZM2 have great sound signature.

If you come from the A105, I think the 1AM2 will be quite a significant improvement especially if you are also going to use the balance 4.4mm. The key difference I feel is the humongous amount of instantaneous dynamics that the 1AM2 improved capacitors can deliver vs A105, considering that the A105 actually uses the same S-Master HX amp as the 1AM2. Bass really goes much deeper on both of the WM1M2.
