SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2

It's mega slow but if its one two albums at a time i guess i can live with it
I think you'll like OpenMTP better than AFT. On my ZX507 I use CX File Transfer app (it's free and no ads) (Google Play store) to transfer via wifi. You need to enable file sharing on your Mac. I don't need to connect with a cable and can transfer anywhere in my house via wifi. The zx500 thread has the same Mac file transfer questions.

To me the dynamic is both similar on Z and A, depends on the genres and instruments, the Z actually is more dynamic in deep bass situations. However, I do understand why people would think the A is more dynamic, because the Z has slower transients and longer decays/reverberations, which renders the overall signatures to be more musical and softer rather than decisively punchy. When it comes to knit and pick , the Z has a more grande soundstage, even with longer transients and decays. That right there is the case in point of being superior to 1A. But then, we are all speaking from different POV and preferences

I listen to all genre of songs except metal
But the songs I’ve played for AB test due to time limitation was Jpop - One Piece “One day” and “Hands up!”

For those in the USA, Singapore considering getting the ZX707, please check the ZX707 thread. They removed High Gain… ugh..

Yeah, that was weird. Bobby posted about ZX707 in Watercooler thread, he just received it today (US version) and already returned it back due to lack of high gain setting. Seems like US version of ZX707 can't even drive average sensitivity efficient IEMs :frowning2: Is there a spec of max output power under low gain?

Have noticed increasing numbers of 1A and 1Z in my region's resale market, could it be that sellers are moving over to ZX707 which provides comparable performance with modern design, faster UI and better battery life? 🤔

ZX707 does not offer better battery life over 1ZM2 and 1AM2.
ZX707 25hours Max
M2 40hours Max

Yes but still sold for that much, the android version starts to matter when streaming is something you might/might not use. I’ll likely use it less than I think, but I could have gotten a copper SP2000 for about $2000 from a dealer as I asked for a discount. Open box, but it was only taken out for pictures etc., but I just couldn’t make myself to do it as I’d be afraid that the Android version would eventually be an issue for me.
Ok. In 2023 I certainly wouldn't pay for an Android 6 DAP. Android 9 and above are more than ok, and have the SOC good enough for what is necessary with the OS

Perhaps they were referring to M1, which makes sense as it didn't ha e access to streaming apps. Thx to people getting rid of m1, I just picked up a wm1zm1 that I simply connect to an iPhone (with a 4in cable)to play hi-res Apple music, so I'm super happy

M1 might be a sought-after collectible item in the future, if not already.

US version of 1ZM2 and 1AM2 has high gain right? I was looking at ZX707, but am now thinking about the 1AM2.

Not sure how you come to misconstrue my point to the point as if I am saying that all streaming apps are badly optimised. I have not mention the word ALL. Please read carefully next time.

Is there a need to laugh? This is just a difference in point of view.

updating OS isn’t as simple as you think. It will likely introduce a whole load of bugs and issues and can even brick phones:

And this is my final reply to you as ignore list is where you go.
I love how when someone, especially one whom clearly has expertise in the field of electrical engineering retorts with nothing but valid and well articulated points, all this dude can say is ignore me if you like. Sure, it's easier being ignored and keep preaching your wild assertions. Much easier to tell fairy tales to some some poor noob about how their micro SD card will degrade their SQ. You're something else.
