What’s the battery time?

What’s the battery time?

So far, every hour of usage (mostly 16-44 FLAC files, screen turned off the entire time) consumes ~2%-3% of battery life. By extrapolation, this means I will be getting 33-50 hours of battery life (I have yet to do a 100%-0% battery drain test, as I usually charge my unit once it hits below 90%). I think I'm getting such long runtimes because the battery is still new (got my unit early-May; I only use my unit ~1-2 hours 4x-5x/week).

Geez the streaming of the music kills the battery. I had no idea it could drain that fast

Yes, as mentioned somewhere earlier, you have no volume control when streaming. The S-Master HX runs at 100% and you volume control by limiting the input signal.

In the era of streaming, the big disadvantage of Analog amps, actually turns into an advantage

You know what id miss on the M2 if I ever upgrade to it? SensMe. It's such an classic feature from Sony, used it since Soner Walkman days, On my old PSP, on my Xperia music app when it still had it...
And even now is still being very useful on my 1A. Especially as my library is filled with thousands of random TV series OSTs.
And more often than not I just want to play some suitable music in the background.
It doesn't always work as the category intended but it's well enough.
Wonder why Auto Playlist creation isn't more of a thing.

It's the hi res streaming option that kills it, activated it'd upsample everything to 192 kHz.
Don't use it outside of serious listening time and you'd get aLOT more stamina out of it.

I really thought I was going to keep my WM1ZM2 forever but due to a recent personal issue I am having to sell a lot of my gear. I've listed it on here if anyone is interested. Got it from Japan a couple months ago and I have not broken it in yet. I think it has already started to sound incredible at the 90 hr mark, the Fourtes highs opened up (even more) unlike anything I've heard so far.

If I wouldn't have to pay taxes, I'd instantly buy it

I noticed that both of these are up for preorder again at audio46….I wonder if they’re getting the original preorders soon. Strange that they’d re add a preorder link after taking it off the site for a few months.

Then again, having the A105 connected to my TA could be another option since I hardly stream. But I’m considering Spotify

Still using my 1A with Ldac for the occasional Spotify time for me. Tho with LG V60 I don't balk on plugging any of my full size directly to it too.
