can u guys post some pics for us mortals to drool at?

First 4 are of the pair I owned a couple years ago. Last 2 are from a pair I borrowed before that. Both of these pairs were the version "good" bass response. I've gone without R10 for a while now. Honestly, I like something that presents rock/metal in a more aggressive, authoritative fashion (and by aggressive I don't mean bright). Even "just" the HD650 with a really nice amp & vinyl source does me just fine

Those are amazing pictures...

So even the "bassy" R10's are too laid back? I've been thinking about looking into the market for those, but since I listen to mostly rock and alternative at the moment I guess this is good news for my wallet.

On another note, where'd you get that headphone stand?

Thanks! Yep, the mids are amazing. It sounds like these have had a few owners. I bought them from a guy in Berkeley, CA. He sold two pairs -- I think the other was #1156.

Ah...then you bought this from the infamous berkeley dude with MANY accounts on headfi.. I think you are owner #5 in that case, though the Berkeley guy sells instead of listening...so #4 realistically.

I got them at the market rate. I couldn't imagine that he's simply buying and selling to make a profit -- although maybe he just wanted a small profit. In any event, it was a smooth transaction, so no complaints.
