Being over 20 years old, do u think it need recapping?
Depends on the caps used. ESR can increase with time and uf can decrease.

That's so pointless. Balance into non balance doesn't make it balance
But allow me to use dac
You still don’t get a balanced drive on the R10 so I don’t see the point. Reterminating isn’t too difficult and you can use better 4.4 mm than stock. Nobunaga and Pentaconn do make 4.4 mm jack.
My intention was to use the balance Input from my ibasso, not for make my r10 balanced

I get that, but why not just reterminate it? Those OFC 4.4 can improve the sound compared to stock 1/4” from Sony. I may shorten the cord on my R10 this weekend.

It is easy to determinate. I use an adapter as I do all of my phones so I can use any plug I want to on the R-10.

I have the furutech 4.4 mm on mine but the length is the cable length is about the same as original. I bought Nobunaga OFC 4.4 mm jack recently for around $75 and may shorten the cable to around 5-ft and use this 4.4 mm plug instead for a slight upgrade in sound quality. Do you use 4.4 mm on yours or 4 pin XLR? I have reterminated pretty all my headphones cables to 4.4 mm. Even installed Pentaconn 4.4 mm female jacks on most my amps too.

Here is my Headroom BUDA with a 4.4 mm headphone socket.

No, the 4 pin that RSA used for everything and then Whiplash also used it. No degradation of sound. A simple inexpensive connector made in Japan. I have used it for years.

Sorry, last time I expressed very bad lol
I would like to use my Ibasso d320max ti in balanced(more power, less gain) and drive my R10.
Sonically,I think I found the nirvana, but I would prefer to use balanced connection because, listening at high volumes, sometimes the sound from the 320 is a bit sparkly.i assume that with less gain but with a powerful amp section I would hear an improvement.
So for me if exist an adapter would be better, because my intention would’ve be to leave my R10 stock
For example:
https://ifi-audio.com/products/headphone-adapter-3-5mm-to-4-4mm/
I don’t think a company like ifi audio create those adapter risking to destroying amp or headphone driver.
And I don’t care to make my R10 balanced, for me is enough to make my king able to use 4.4 amp section.
However I’m asking to you because probably you have much more experience than me.
If I have to reterminate, first of all..
Would be worth it?
Which cable should I use for maybe make a possible improvement?pure silver maybe?
Which connector would be great for reterminate the R10?

Well, we had at least 4-5 cases in the workshop, one of drivers was destroyed with single-ended to balanced adapters. I will try to find some photos of what happened to the voice coils - overheating and destruction. All of them were not R10, but it does not matter since R10 has a fairly regular voice coil design. But...these are your headphones after all.

Pentaconn itself or furutech are good options for retermination.
